FAQ
When should I schedule my newborn session?
We recommend shooting between 4 to 10 days old for maximum newborn sleepiness. Book as soon as you know your due date so we can tentatively have you down.
Why does a newborn session take so long?
Newborns are unpredictable! Your baby may need to eat, be changed, or be soothed more often. Making your baby feel relaxed during a pose is important and essential for the images and takes time.
When would be the best time of day to schedule a newborn session?
Any time your newborn is usually asleep will work for our session!
How many outfits should I have?
If you have any specific outfits, props or wraps, please have them on hand and I’ll do my best to incorporate them. Otherwise I will supply the wraps and props for the session. I’ll use colors as close as possible to the ones you have selected in your questionnaire that I send before our session.
What if my baby isn’t using a pacifier?
Try to have one available (the hospital one is perfect for this) even if you’re not using one! Sometimes the only way to get a baby to settle is to let them suck a bit, and having a paci to use will help me settle them without too much intervention from mom. If you’re dead set against it, we won’t use one, but we also may not get as many poses in.
